Official Rules

  1. Dates:
    1. Contest entry begins Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
    2. Contest entry ends Thursday, December 18, 2008.
  1. Eligibility:
    1. You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry
    2. No purchase necessary to participate or win.  Purchase will not improve chances of winning.  You may not participate if you are an employee or agent of News Talk 960 KKNT, Valley Pontiac Dealers, or any entity associated with the sponsorship or conduct of the contest, or if you are an immediate family member of any such employee or agent so situated (immediate family members includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws” or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, cohabitation, or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related.)
    3. Your entry may be rejected if you have won any prize in any contests conducted by News Talk 960 KKNT from 30 days prior to the start of the contest to the end of the contest.
    4. Contestants are ineligible if they are current or former professional or semi-professional athletes or football players, current or former collegiate, junior collegiate, or high school football players or coaches that have played at that level in the past 5 years.
    5. Contest entries must include your:

                                                               i.      Name

                                                             ii.      E-mail address

                                                           iii.      Postal address

                                                            iv.      Daytime telephone number

                                                              v.      Birth date

   Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

    1. Prizes will not be awarded, even announced, if you are not eligible in accordance with these rules.
  1. How to Enter and Win
    1. Complete an official entry form online at KKNT960.com.
    2. One entry will be randomly selected from each dealership and pooled with the selected entries from the other Valley Pontiac Dealerships.  10 registrants will be randomly selected from that pool of entries on December 18, 2008. These 10 will receive tickets to the game.  1 hour prior to the game, one finalist will be randomly selected for the chance to kick a 40 yard field goal.  If the contestant makes the field goal, he or she will win a Pontiac 2008 G8.
    3. Subject to all eligibility requirements, if you’re randomly drawn from entrants, you will win the prize.
    4. If News Talk 960 KKNT is readily able to determine that you as the drawn entry are ineligible to participate in the contest, News Talk 960 KKNT will draw another entry and continue the process until winner is found.
  1. Prize:

       The following prize packages will be awarded:

    1. two (2) tickets to the 20th Annual Insight Bowl.
    2. The chance to win a Pontiac 2008 G8.
  1.  How to Claim Prize:
    1. The winner will have two days from the date he is notified by phone to claim the prize.  Failure to claim the prize within this time for any reason will result in forfeiture of the prize.
    2. Prize must be picked up at:

    1. Prize must be claimed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) unless otherwise directed by station.  To make sure your prize may be picked-up, call 602.955.9600 before making your trip.
    2. Other arrangements to claim the prize may be made if approved by News Talk 960 KKNT.
    3. Before any prize will be awarded, you must provide:

                                                               i.      Proof of age

                                                             ii.      Photo identification (the only accepted types of photo identification are government issued photo identifications, including a valid drive’s license or United States Passport.)

                                                           iii.      A valid taxpayer identification number or social security number.

    1. News Talk 960 KKNT reserves the right to deny awarding the prize if you fail to provide satisfactory identification, as determined in News Talk 960 KKNT’s sole discretion.
    2. All federal, state, and local taxes (including any sales taxes) arising from or relating to your receipt of prize are your sole responsibility.
    3. Prior to the delivery of any prize, News Talk 960 KKNT or its agent reserves the right to collect any taxes it deems appropriate from you.
    4. If you win over $600 in prizes during any one-year period you will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
    5. Any additional costs relating to the prizes (e.g. gratuities, etc.) and incurred as a result of accepting any prizes you win in the contest will be your sole responsibility.
    6. You agree to release and indemnify News Talk 960 KKNT, its officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries, employees, or any other entity affiliated with any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently know or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of or relate to your participation in the contest.
    7. You agree to execute an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release before any prize is awarded.
    8. Failure to execute any of these documents or comply with any of the terms will result in forfeiture of the prize.
    9. Signing for any prize you win will indicate that you have received the prize, that your participation was in compliance with these rules, and that you agree to the publicity disclaimer.  Any prize you win will be forfeited upon refusal to sign or provide required information.
    10. Your designated representative will be allowed to claim prize only if News Talk 960 KKNT is present in writing with a note signed by you that such a representative is to pick up the prize and is also concurrently presented a photocopy of your driver’s license.
    11. News Talk 960 KKNT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award unclaimed prizes to alternate contestants or not to award the unclaimed prizes.
    12. If tickets to a performance are awarded as a prize, News Talk 960 KKNT is not responsible for any cancellation or rescheduling of the performance for any reason and has no obligation to reimburse, refund, or otherwise substitute the tickets for another prize should the performance not be rescheduled or vouchers not issued.
    13. Prizes are non-transferable.
    14. Prizes may not be exchanged for cash equivalent or alternate prizes unless acceptable to News Talk 960 KKNT.
    15. News Talk 960 KKNT reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the awarded prize is unavailable for any reason.
  1. Restricitions:
    1. One entry per person.
    2. One winner per household.
    3. Void where prohibited by law.
    4. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
  1. Conditions:
    1. News Talk 960 KKNT, our sponsors, agents, and affiliates, are not responsible for any:

                                                               i.      Internet, e-mail, technical, hardware, software, or transmission failures of any kind.

                                                             ii.      Entries that are lost, mutilated, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, delayed.

                                                           iii.      Telephone calls or faxes that fail to be completed due to either equipment malfunction, busy lines, dropped lines, tied lines, or dialing the wrong number (if in doubt, contact your local telephone service provider prior to participating in the contest).

                                                            iv.      Equipment malfunctions or human error in the process of processing submissions for promotions, games, or contests which may limit your ability to participate.

In any of these cases, another entrant will qualify whether caused by News Talk 960     KKNT, you, or third parties.

    1. News Talk 960 KKNT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend a promotion, game, or contest if it is not capable of completion as planned for any reason including, buy not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any kind. News Talk 960 KKNT, in its sole discretion, may award prizes to entries received by alternate means.
    2. If you use fraudulent means to participate and/or win the contest, you will be disqualified.
    3. The decision of the News Talk 960 KKNT management is final.
    4. News Talk 960 KKNT is not liable for any injury or loss incurred in pursuit or use of prize(s).
    5. Publicity Release:  Unless prohibited by law, your participation constitutes permission for News Talk 960 KKNT and contest sponsors, without any further obligation to you, to use your name, voice, biographical data, and likeness for promotional purposes.
    6. Your contest entry becomes the property of the Valley Pontiac Dealership at which you enter.  The dealership may use any of your entry for any purpose whatsoever, without further compensation to you.
  1. Disqualifications and Penalties:
    1. News Talk 960 KKNT, in its sole discretion, further reserves the right to disqualify you for:

                                                               i.      Violating any of these rules.

                                                             ii.      Tampering with the entry process or the operations of kknt960.com

                                                           iii.      Gaining an unfair advantage in participating in the contest.

                                                            iv.      Obtaining winner status using fraudulent means.

                                                              v.      Engaging in otherwise sportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing, or threatening behavior.

    1. Furthermore, any resale or auction or attempt to resell or auction of News Talk 960 KKNT complimentary prizes, if any, will result in disqualification for all future News Talk 960 KKNT contests.
    2. Any attempt by you or another individual to deliberately circumvent, disrupt or damage ordinary and normal operation this contest, telephone systems or www.kknt960.com, or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, news talk 960 KKNT reserves the right to seek damages from any such participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
